The mission of the Public Administraion Undergraduate Program is to train future leaders in the public and private sectors. The Program is designed to help students gain knowledge and skills to understand and analyze contemporary issues in public administration and policy. Its interdisciplinary curriculum puts emphasis on rational problem-solving, planning and management skills, public leadership, independent research capability, and international orientation. With a faculty of 15 leading scholars with various backgrounds in the social sciences, the program is pioneering undergraduate education in public administration and policy in Korea. The program has total enrollment of 515 as of 2012.

Objective and Outline of the Education

The curriculum is designed to assist student to:

Become competent public sector leader with high ethical standards
Acquire knowledge of theories, concepts and ideas of public administration and policy
Acquire knowledge of theories, concepts and ideas of public administration and policy
Learn to manage and lead organizations with strong oral and written communication skills
Acquire expertise in financial management
Gain quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to solve complex policy and management problems
